Autumn Spider Web

I love a good spiderweb. I don't like walking through them... but I love seeing them. This great Postallove card comes from Germany via Postcrossing.

I was able to add this to a few of my collections: Autumn | Bugs & Bees | Postallove | Dark, Spooky, Goth | Animals | Germany

Caesar and Chi-Chi

I received this beautiful postcard from QuiltyKitties on the Postcrossing Forum. This comes via the US to US tag. When I saw this on the table after my husband brought in the mail I automatically went "Ohhh". I had a cat for about 15 years that looked just like these two. He was apparently a Siamese, but I think his hair was a bit too long to be one (however, I'm no expert). The cat on the bottom is actually a dead ringer for him.

I really miss him, I received him as a Christmas gift from my grandpa in the 6th grade. I remember that I went to work with my grandpa that day at Patrick Airforce Base in Cocoa Beach and I chose my cat from a litter of kittens at someone's house after my grandpa got off work. I think we also went to a gift shop and he bought me a Beanie Baby or two. Anyhow, I chose my cat from the bunch because he was the most rambunctious, lively, and a little feisty. I really liked his attitude.

I ended up naming him Booger. I have no idea why, but I was in the 6th grade :::eye roll:::

Niagara Falls & Cozumel Cards

It's always a delight to receive a postcard from family members or friends while they're on vacation. My in-laws recently went on vacation to both Niagra Falls and a cruise which took them to Cozumel! How fun! They're living THE LIFE!

I've always wanted to visit Niagra Falls. Mainly, because it's in an area that many of my ancestors have lived. My great-grandfather came over to the US from Canada (and came to Canada from Poland). My great-grandparents lived in the Buffalo area and my grandmother was also born there.

My great-grandparents Mary and Alexander.

This is my grandmother Rita when she was in high school, this picture is also my profile pic on Postcrossing.

On to the next postcard, this one sent from their Caribbean Cruise! We had the pleasure of petsitting their Maltese Max during the week they were gone.

I've never really had the desire to visit Mexico, but if a cruise takes me there, hey, why not?! My husband and I always say this, that while we live in Florida hot, beach destinations aren't exciting to us, but probably once we fulfill our desire to live up North, we'll be loving beach destinations.

So, thanks to my wonderful, well-traveled mother and father-in-law for the great cards recently!

The Buttercup Fairy

I've recently started collecting fairy postcards, so it was a joy to receive this cheerful yellow fairy in the mail from Carrie Jean (sleepykitty) in California. This card was sent via the US to US Round Robin #713 on the Postcrossing Forum.

She also included a nice stamp that I've never seen before and super cute washi tape featuring some woodlands creatures.
